Bike and pump track race at DEBEX this weekend
The first balance bike and pump track race at DEBEX was such a great success that the event is being organised again on Saturday, July 26.
It promises to be another active and joyful day where children can move, compete, and enjoy a sense of achievement.
The race is recommended for all families with young children who value physical activity, shared experiences, and a healthy lifestyle—whether they’re just starting or seasoned little cyclists.
Two exciting races for kids:
- Balance Bike Race (for ages 2–3 and 4–5)
- Pump Track Speed Race (for ages 3–6, 7–10, and 11–14)
Every participant receives a certificate and chocolate. Children race in safe, separate heats. Helmets and protective gear are mandatory.
The event is free for everyone, but registration is required via the provided link.

On Sunday, DEBEX will host its first free Zumba workout session.
As part of the “Move, Debrecen!” initiative, DEBEX is expanding its community fitness offerings with a free Zumba class for anyone looking to get active, recharge, and move together in rhythm. The session will be led by Andrea Orosz, a long-time member of the Zumba community and now a certified instructor. Zumba is an excellent choice for those who want to stay fit through energetic, music-based movement—or enjoy themselves in a lively group setting.
- Gathering: from 8:30 a.m.
- Zumba Workout: 9:00 a.m. –10:00 a.m.
The event is open and free to all.
Organisers emphasise inclusivity—from the youngest to the oldest, everyone can find their place. No prior experience is needed—just comfortable clothes, a bottle of water, and a willingness to move together.
