The development will eventually extend beyond the region, becoming a bridge between East and West.

Each year, the award is given to the city with the highest number of winning websites in the competition – outside the capital.

The continuous development and expansion of the most important business service centres, has made Debrecen the second largest SSC centre in the country.

As a result of past and future efforts, the city’s future looks positive and will have an impact on the whole region.

After the preliminary evaluation, two cities were left in the running for the Emerging City of the Year award, Debrecen and Kaunas in Lithuania.
