Discarded Christmas tree collection begins Tuesday

In January this year, AKSD Kft. will once again organize the collection and removal of discarded Christmas trees throughout the entire administrative area of Debrecen.

Residents living in apartment buildings are asked to place the trees in public areas at a designated spot next to the waste collection route.

Individual property users can place the trees next to their bins on the usual day of mixed waste collection, without decorations or packaging. The waste management company emphasized that it is important to place the trees where they do not obstruct pedestrian or vehicle traffic. The trees can also be dropped off free of charge at the green waste collection point at 9/B Vértesi Road. Expected to amount to 28–30 tons, the collected trees will be shredded and reused as compost.
