Evening carnival atmosphere in Debrecen
A special day was held in Debrecen, where the morning parade was followed by an evening event.
Fire jugglers, basketball players, dancers and compositions made of flowers were also seen by those watching the evening parade in the heart of Debrecen. As mayor László Papp said in the morning, the Flower Carnival Week events were once again as well attended as in the pre-Covid period. In an interview with DTV (Debrecen Television), he also reported that the carnival participants would be parading in the evening.
“The evening parade used to be very popular, but because of COVID-19 we had to rethink a lot of things, but now we have managed to return to the old routine, and there is a carnival atmosphere in the city in the morning and in the evening as well,” he said.

In the afternoon, the creators of the winning composition of the Flower Carnival were celebrated. The public could vote for the composition they considered the most beautiful on the Debrecen Flower Carnival website. The winner was again the Hungarian Post. A Career Carnival was also held in the city, and Déri Square hosted contemporary music and art programmes.
