A farmers’ market with the widest range of products in the city, the Church Market opens on the third Saturday of every month at 8.00 a.m. in the courtyard of the Debrecen Great Church Congregation Centre, at 2 Leány Street. The next time it opens its doors is on September 20.

What to Expect?
A treasure trove of local delights awaits! Browse through stalls bursting with local farmers and artisans selling their products at reasonable prices in the heart of the city centre, and  offering:

• Smoked pork and fresh meats
• Artisan cheeses
•  Homemade jams and pickles
• Farm-fresh vegetables
• Handcrafted gifts and so much more!

Special Attractions This Month:

There will be exciting programs to enjoy too! Visitors can explore the magical atmosphere of the “Two-Towered Fairy Garden”, take part in the Book Swap Corner, and taste delicious cheese “tallérs” (wafer or biscuit)  from the Tallér Manufactory (MUK).

At the Book Swap Corner, guests can browse through hundreds of books. Any book can be exchanged for one of their own or taken home for a symbolic donation.

Whether you’re a foodie, a book lover, or just looking for a lovely Saturday outing, the Church Market has something for everyone. Come for the shopping, stay for the atmosphere!
