Debrecen welcomes a landmark cultural event as the world-famous tradition of Zoltán Mága’s New Year’s Concert comes to the city for the first time. Having become one of Hungary and Europe’s most celebrated cultural events in Budapest over the past 18 years, this concert now sets out to create a new national tradition, bringing its artistic excellence beyond the capital.
The 2026 concert’s motto is “You are beautiful, magnificent Hungary—the tradition continues in Debrecen!”

Throughout his career, Mága Zoltán has performed in Debrecen on numerous occasions, each time receiving immense love, enthusiasm, and tremendous acclaim from the city’s audience.

Charity Mission
As part of its nationwide expansion, the 2026 New Year’s Concert series will support 18 hospitals, children’s institutions, and family support organizations across Hungary. A portion of the Debrecen concert’s proceeds will go to the Debrecen Children’s Clinic, helping provide modern, high-quality care for children.
