As part of the beloved Debrecen Flower Carnival, the Galiba Children’s Festival returns in 2025 with even more joy, creativity, and laughter for the little ones.

During the Galiba Children’s Festival 2025, the Debrecen Amusement Park transforms into a lively wonderland filled with joy, creativity, and cultural exploration. From August 18 to 20, children can enjoy a variety of performances and craft workshops.

This year, the fun expands beyond the amusement park to include a brand-new venue: the charming courtyard of the Old Town Hall. Here, children can enjoy daily puppet theatre performances, lively dance sessions, interactive games, and hands-on craft activities that spark imagination and play.

One of the festival’s most heartwarming traditions continues as children take to the streets with their handcrafted flower floats. On August 19, kindergartners and primary school students from Debrecen’s educational institutions—along with young dancers from groups affiliated with the Flower Carnival—will parade through the city centre.  The colourful procession begins at Dósa Nádor Square at 5:00 p.m. and makes its way to the Memorial Garden, arriving by 6:30 p.m.

The day’s festivities will culminate in a joyful children’s concert at 7:00 p.m. in the Memorial Garden, bringing families together to celebrate creativity, community, and the magic of childhood.
