MCC Debrecen Training CenterWhat happens when several countries use the same currency? How does the European Central Bank decide to keep the value of our money stable, and how does this affect the economy, jobs, and our everyday lives?
In this presentation, we explain in an easy-to-follow way how the single European currency works, what rules and decisions shape economic processes, and why it does not affect all countries in the same way. We learn how currency shapes economic growth, trade, and job opportunities, while the ECB strives to keep everything in balance.
If you are interested in how our everyday lives are linked to financial decisions and why it is important that the common monetary policy has a different impact in each country, this presentation is worth attending.
Lecturer: Francesco Magris, Full Professor, DEAMS, University of Trieste (Italy), MCC Visiting Fellow
The presentation will be in English.
The event is free to attend, but registration by 12:00 PM 09th March, 2026, is required.
Everyone interested in this important and timely topic is warmly welcome.
