The Liget Square Fair (Liget téri Forgatag) once again welcomes visitors in Debrecen, next to the Liget Bistro and Ice Cream Shop, offering a pleasant morning program with local produce, craft activities, music, and market vibes—organized by Hajdúság Éléskamrája (Pantry of Hajdúság: a regional initiative that showcases and supports local farmers, traditional foods, and community events from the Hajdúság area in eastern Hungary.)
The event is held on the first Saturday of every month; the next time it is on November 1st, between 8.00 a.m. and 12.00 p.m.
At the fair, local farmers showcase their delicacies, including honey from Tóth Méhészet, homemade pasta from Balmaz Tészta, flavorful cheeses from Gyugos Sajt, and fresh baked goods from Gerda Bakery. Quail eggs, homemade pasta, cheeses, gourmet honeys, and other treats await families.
In addition, the offer also includes homegrown guinea fowl and quail eggs. In addition to shopping, there will also be crafts, so every member of the family will find something to enjoy.
More information can be found about the fair on the website of the Hajdúság Éléskamrája.
Whether stocking up on fresh goods, or soaking in the community spirit, the Liget Square Fair offers the perfect way to start the weekend.
