Insects can be encountered everywhere: they have been present on Earth since prehistoric times and today they constitute the largest group within the animal kingdom. They inhabit water, land and air alike: butterflies and bees move from flower to flower, longhorn beetles crawl along tree trunks, while dragonflies live along the shores of lakes.

The opening of The Realm of Hexapods exhibition will take place on Wednesday, 4 March at 2.00 p.m. at the Méliusz Juhász Péter Könyvtár (19/D Bem Square) in Debrecen. Guests will be welcomed by Dr Béla Lóránt Kovács, Director of the Méliusz Juhász Péter Library, and the exhibition will be formally opened by Zoltán Váradi, Head of Természettár.
