Vienna Classics – Concert of Kodály Philharmonic Orchestra

Kölcsey Center Bethlen u., 4026, Debrecen, Hungary

Kodály Philharmonic Orchestra awaits the audience with the following program on the 21st of November in Kölcsey Center: Haydn: Symphony in F minor ("La Passione") No.49 / Mozart: Sinfonia concertante in E flat major KV.297b / Beethoven: Symphony I (C major), op. 21 The birth of the F minor symphony from 1768 was groundbreaking in the development of Haydn's symphonic compositions. It  includes a relatively old form, in which he combines a so-called church sonata with passionate emotional content. It is a remarkable fact that, in addition to a significant number of piano and violin concertos, Mozart also composed concertos for almost all wind instruments. The inspiration for this came primarily from his personal relationships with outstanding musicians of his time and his travels. Beethoven's Symphony No. 1 is only three years apart from the birth of the iconic Symphony No. 3, Eroica. It's almost unbelievable how much progress the composer made in renewing the genre in such a short time. Aquaticum Debrecen SPA Nagyerdei park 1, Debrecen, Hungary

Every month, on two designated Thursdays, from 4 p.m. until closing time, the ladies take centre stage, and during this period, our sauna world is just for the ladies without the men.  On ladies' days, Anna Kinga Jámbor gives a ladies' yoga class in the relaxation room of the Thermal Spa (opposite the Sauna World). In today's fast-paced world, yoga is an excellent way to stay in touch with your body, notice its signs in time, and improve your health and physical and mental balance through regular practice. Yoga for women is a more indulgent mindset than a traditional type of class. The focus is on the cycles of the female body, stress management and relaxation. From 5 p.m. onwards, with the help of professional sauna instructors, women will be able to relax from the week's fatigue and learn about the benefits of a healthy sauna experience for both body and soul. Exhibition in The Cat Cafe

Macskávézó (Cat Cafe) 1 Cegléd Street, debrecen, Hungary

From the 1st of December, Zsuzsa Aradi's paintings of animals - mainly cats - can be seen in a bunch at the popular Cat Café in Debrecen. The exhibited paintings, which depict animals in different styles and approaches, are among the artist's favourite works. The Cat Cafe hosting the exhibition is also home to ten kittens and is somewhere you can enjoy various drinks and cakes in the company of the purring four-legged friends. At the opening ceremony on the 1st of December, visitors could hear the recitations of poet and performer István B. Orosz and the piano playing of teacher and journalist Péter Nádudvari. The painting appeared in Zsuzsa Aradi's life when she saw the white walls of her family's new home as too barren. She first decorated the rooms with old acrylic paint; then she recreated stairs, doors and smaller pieces of furniture. After a while, she also acquired a few canvases to brighten up the children's room with two or three more colourful pictures, and from then on, painting became her passion.
