Within the programs of the Day of Hungarian Culture, the exhibition titled  "The carnival is here, the ball is on" will be opened on the 23rd of January at 2.00 p.m.  at the New City Hall (Új Városháza). The Bényi Gallery prepared the next exhibition season during the holidays, so in January, the works of Emese Bács, a creator well known for her unvarnished honesty, will be displayed on the gallery's walls and exhibition space. The exhibition titled ‘Silently observing, subjectively forming ... ’ was opened on the 18th of January at 6 pm in the Kölcsey Center, where the artist and the guests were greeted by Art Writer Réka Fazakas and Gallery Manager Andrea Szalai. ‘The exhibition titled ‘Silently observing, subjectively forming ... ’, located in the exhibition space of the Bényi Gallery in Debrecen, leads to a strange world. Some of the urban spaces that can be seen in the paintings of Emese Bács are clearly connected to the artist's chosen homeland, Budapest, or her hometown, in Brasov Transylvania. The figures she depicts become more important than depicting urban locations, skylines or Marc Augé's so-called non-places, temporary locations connected to public transport. The exhibition Portrait Dynamics by painter Fanni Bacskó will be opened by visual designer Ágota Matyi on the 24th of January from 4 p.m. At the opening ceremony of the event organised by Zsuzsanna Cserép, István Rácz, president of the Debrecen Regional Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Science Club gives a welcome speech. Perfomers at the opening event are Edina Tótkomlósi (cello) and her teacher, cellist Áron Pető. An exhibition of the works of the Creative Artists of Debrecen (DAK) opens under the title Winter Moods. The exhibition will be opened on Monday, on the 29th of January at 5 p.m. by doctor-painter, Dr. Nóra Medveczky in the Újkert Community Hall. Exhibiting artists: Katalin Erdeiné Törőcsik, Ferenc Gulyás, Béla Kelemen, Csaba Kiss, Imre Lackó Szilágyi, Nóra Medveczky, Katalin Sándorné Hirsch and Ferenc Pallás.
