Exhibition of Painter János Maksai opens in Simonffy Street Youth Centre

Exhibition entitled "I'll tell you in the language of painting" is opening at the Simonffy Street Youth Centre on the 4th of  March at 4.30 p.m. The exhibition will be opened by Managing Director of DEMKI János D. Halász, and President of the Association for the Great Forest of Debrecen Ibolya Marincsák with the contribution of  Napsugár Bartha. For János Maksai, love is the key word. He feels comfortable in the world and does what he loves: painting. For the painter from Debrecen, creating is the most natural part of life. His life is usually predictable: he gets up in the morning and goes to paint... And for recreation he sometimes does gardening and is active around the house.  He has been painting for more than fifty years, and in that time he has put thousands of paintings on canvas. Some of them are quite small, but some are 150x320 cm, which he assembled from three pieces, because otherwise they would not have fit into the painter's studio. Polish Painter’s Paintings on Display in German Cultural Forum

The exhibition, entitled Vanishing Landscape will open on the 5th of March Tuesday at 5.00  p.m. at the German Cultural Forum in Debrecen and can be visited until the 31st of March. The artist wants to draw attention to the problem of disappearing green spaces and places untouched by human intervention. There are fewer and fewer of these places and are being squeezed out year by year by new investments, and there is a real risk that the landscape we have known until now will disappear. Barbara Hubert was born in Rzeszów and attended the School of Fine Arts. She completed her higher education in the painting department at the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts, studying under professors Stanisław Rodziński and Leszek Misiak. Green for Life Roadshow starts on Thursday

HUMDA Hungarian Mobility Development Agency PLC., a part of the Széchenyi University Group, is launching a comprehensive e-mobility roadshow called "Zöld Életre Valók" (Green for Life) in Debrecen on the 7th of March. The roadshow, which will visit various locations throughout the country and stay for four days each, aims to promote sustainable and environmentally friendly energy in everyday life and encourage the transition to green energy, which is the future of the Hungarian economy in households, transportation, and industry. Between the 7th and the 10th of  March, organisers are expecting visitors from kindergarten age to the elderly at Kossuth Square in Debrecen. The mission of the HUMDA Green for Life national e-mobility and technology roadshow is to raise awareness about hydrogen technology, energy storage and electric vehicles, their benefits, operation and environmental aspects. The roadshow will offer public installations and free activities in public spaces during the first half of the year. Debrecen Antiques Fairs Start in March

English Guided Tour at MODEM’s Exhibition The Image of Color, the Mystery of Image

MODEM Art Center awaits visitors to join the English guided tour with Edward Kovács at the exhibition titled The Image of Color, the Mystery of Image on the 12th of March at 5:00 p.m.  About the exhibition: The Image of Colour, the Mystery of Image, presents a comprehensive selection of monochrome paintings from the Antal-Lusztig Collection. This collection is recognised as one of the most significant private collections in Hungary, and a major group of works from it have been deposited in the museums of Debrecen. Focusing on the tradition of exhibiting works from the Antal-Lusztig Collection, this selection comprises several hundred national and international works. Dr. Péter Antal, the owner, began his acquisition of monochrome paintings in the mid-2000s, and the collection of more than five hundred works constitutes a separate segment of his collection. Over the past decades, a selection of these monochrome works has been featured in several exhibitions in Hungary and abroad.  The current exhibition, featuring selected works from the monochrome segment of the Antal-Lusztig Collection, is organised into seven + one separate units.
