Festive lights will brighten the University of Debrecen Clinical Center for Advent

The parks and buildings welcome visitors with a unified look and Christmas lights.

All three campuses of the University of Debrecen Clinical Center will receive festive lighting. As part of the Advent celebration, the Presidential Office building, the park trees, the Kenézy Gyula Campus, and the Gróf Tisza István Campus in Berettyóújfalu will also be illuminated. The festive lights will be switched on November 30, the first Sunday of Advent, ​​unideb.hu shares on its website.

“The main objective of the Clinical Center of the University of Debrecen is not only to be at the forefront in patient care, education, and research, but also to be worthy of the university’s historical traditions and rank in its appearance. In this spirit, a unified image is being formed year after year, which is partly realized in the renovation of buildings and partly—especially during the Advent and Christmas periods—in the festive lighting,” Professor Zoltán Szabó, President of the Clinical Center of the University of Debrecen, told hirek.unideb.hu.

The festive lighting can be admired on all three campuses of the Clinical Center from 6.00 a.m. on November 30, the first Sunday of Advent. The main building of the Clinical Center, the park in front of the Presidential Office, the Nagyerdei Campus, the Gróf Tisza István Campus in Berettyóújfalu, and the Kenézy Gyula Campus will be dressed in festive lights, among others.

As a new initiative this year, the festive lights will be lit in a new window on the Kenézy Gyula Campus every day from December 1, following the pattern of the Advent calendar. Thanks to this, the entire campus will shine in a brilliant flood of light on Christmas Eve.

The festive lighting at the University of Debrecen Clinical Center’s campuses can be enjoyed until the end of January.
