Five New Warehouse Halls Planned in Debrecen’s Industrial Park
If the city council approves the proposal submitted by Chief Architect István Gábor, the municipality will enter into an agreement with GREAT Property Kft. in connection with a planned development.
The company is requesting the council’s approval for a land-parcel reconfiguration in order to be able to build warehouse halls on the property it owns in the Western Industrial Park. The chief architect emphasizes that the modification does not involve the designation of any new land intended for development.
In the settlement study plan uploaded as an annex to the proposal, it is stated that the aim of the development is to serve the growing warehousing needs emerging in the region. On the currently vacant site, five warehouse halls would therefore be constructed, each with a floor area of approximately 3,000 square meters. According to the plans, green areas would be created on 30 to 35 percent of the warehouse hall sites. The halls will not be built all at once, but in phased stages.
According to the study plan, in addition to creating new jobs, the development will contribute to the growth of Debrecen’s economy.
GREAT Property Kft.’s sole owner is another Debrecen-based company, TÁRS-95i Kft., which recently built a new steel-structure manufacturing plant in the western part of Debrecen.
