Harro Höfliger continues to recruit future employees for its new plant in Debrecen

As reported, production has begun in the new production hall of Harro Höfliger Hungary Kft. The company has built a new hall next to its factory. The German-based company manufactures machines with unique solutions for the medical technology and pharmaceutical industries.

Csaba Juhász, the managing director of Harro Höfliger Hungary Kft., mentioned in the program “Evening Close-up” of the Médiacentrum Debrecen that their new production hall, which has become two-story, was completed in 12 months. For now, production has started on the lower floor.

Regarding the production process, he revealed that the plans are made in Germany, based on which the Debrecen company purchases the necessary materials and manufactures the substructure and the parts to be assembled. After that, the mechanical and electrical assembly is carried out, and then the devices are sent to Germany, where the modules are integrated into the production lines, where they are brought to life and later put into operation at the customers.

Péter Kanizsár, the company’s HR manager, stated that while the number of employees was between 160 and 170 at the end of 2024, they will have 240 employees by the end of this year. In addition, they also employ student workers, so the number of employees at the company will increase by 50 percent by the end of 2025.

The specialist added that they primarily hired qualified, experienced colleagues, but since they are performing new, high-value-added activities, they also gained new experience in Germany. The company also places great emphasis on training new employees; they cooperate with the Debrecen Vocational Training Center and the University of Debrecen and will soon launch new dual training courses.

As stated, they will soon be manufacturing contact lens manufacturing machines for a company that wants to be a market leader in South America, and they will also be manufacturing devices that assemble insulin dispensers.

Csaba Juhász reported that their previous 4500 square meter production area will increase to 12500 square meters, their production stock will double, and their turnover may increase by up to 3-4 times.

The recruitment is not over; the company is primarily looking for new employees in production for mechanical and electrical assembly positions, but they are also expanding in the areas of purchasing, sales, project management, and finance.
