I. Debrecen Cultural Forum

The first-ever Debrecen Cultural Forum will be held on May 14-15, 2025, at Csokonai Fórum.

The world is constantly evolving, and the cultural sector is no exception. Recognising this, the city of Debrecen has decided to redefine its cultural strategy.

Nine working groups are developing a comprehensive, forward-thinking strategy for various cultural fields in the city. The Debrecen Cultural Forum on May 14-15 is an open extension of this collaborative effort, providing an opportunity for professionals and the broader community to share thoughts, questions, and visions.

The Debrecen Cultural Forum is structured around four panel discussions:

• The City of the Future Building
• The Guardian of Hungarian Culture
• The Cooperative City
• The Lovable City

Participants will explore how they envision Debrecen’s cultural landscape in the coming years and how they can actively shape its development together.
