Information on the upcoming status assessment of the civil protection warning system

The Municipality of Debrecen will begin the scheduled condition assessment of the municipally owned civil protection signaling system located in the city’s administrative area on November 27, 2025 (Thursday).

The inspection of civil protection equipment will take place continuously at designated points in the city for approximately three weeks. The aim of the inspection is to ensure that all elements of the signaling system are available reliably and at the required technical level.

During the survey, the sirens may undergo a reduced-power so-called “growl” test, or in some locations a loud, full‑scale test. The municipality strives to keep the duration of sound effects as short as possible during the execution of the tests.

The Municipality asks for the public’s understanding and patience during the work. There is no reason to be concerned about the tests; the inspections are part of regular technical tasks.
