Kossuth Street sidewalk will be renewed in the section near the Old Town Hall

From the 25th of July 2024, the Municipality of Debrecen will carry out pavement renovation works on the section of Kossuth Street directly connected to the Old Town Hall.

In the first phase, renovation works will be carried out between the 25th of July 2024 and the 19th of August 2024 on the section between Piac Street and Városház Street, during which a new pavement will be laid on the affected pavement section. The section to be renovated will be closed, access to shops will be provided by the contractor for shoppers at all times.

In the next phases, the section bounded by the corner of Sas Street and Kossuth Street from Városház Street will be renovated in two phases between the 22nd of August and the 15th of October, 2024 to ensure continuous pedestrian traffic and car traffic in the underground garage.

During the renovation works, Debrecen County Municipality asks for the patience and understanding of the citizens due to the noise, dust and inconvenience caused by the works. In addition, the contractor requests that the public pay special attention to the traffic signs posted on the site.
