The Debrecen Town Protection and Beautification Association and the “Give back my hills” Foundation will hold a commemoration on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Trianon.
National Solidarity Day is a national day of remembrance commemorating the anniversary of the signing of the 1920 Trianon Peace Treaty. In 2010, June 4, the day of the 1920 Trianon Peace Dictate, was declared National Solidarity Day by the Hungarian Parliament.
This will be commemorated in Debrecen on Tuesday, June 3, from 7.00 p.m. in front of the statue of Émile Guillaume entitled “Hungarian Pain”. Before the event, a wreath will be laid on Péterfia Street, at the memorial plaque of the 3rd Infantry Regiment.
The event will feature a speech by historian Botond Szabó, a poem by actor Zsolt Dánielfy, music by the Mohos Péter Hangfogó Ensemble, and a prayer by pastor Gábor Nagy.
