Negotiations Underway about New Flights from Debrecen

Due to the war in the Middle East, the launch of scheduled flights from Debrecen International Airport must be reconsidered, as announced on Facebook by Deputy Mayor Diána Széles.

In her video, she said that discussions are currently under way with the Hungarian Tourism Agency regarding route development, as well as the long-term operation and development of the airport.

“We already have an agreement, and with the support of the Government of Hungary, Wizz Air will restart flights from Debrecen. However, the war in the Middle East has intervened, and the Israeli flight had to be suspended. Therefore, we are now negotiating the launch of new routes, and we hope to announce them soon,” the deputy mayor said.
