New changes have come into effect on Sámsoni Road

New restrictions and changes introduced due to the development of the road are expected to remain until September.

Due to the construction works on the Sámsoni Road improvement, the following changes and restrictions have been introduced  until September, compared to the temporary traffic restrictions already introduced.

On the section between Gábor Áron Street and Budai Nagy  Antal Street, traffic will be diverted in both directions onto the newly constructed road.

The Sámsoni end of Báthori Street will remain closed. Restrictions will remain unchanged from Katalin Street to Kapitány Street.

Traffic will also be diverted to the newly built track in the direction of Hajdúsámson on the section from Kőrösi Csoma Sándor Street to Simon István Street.

Access to the Regional Directorate of Northern Lowland of the National  Directorate-General for Aliens Policing is possible by car via the temporary service road from Őrmester Street.

Access to the Debrecen Kertségi Police Station by car is possible from the bus turnaround on Simon István Street; it can still be reached on foot on the temporary sidewalk on the odd side of Sámsoni Road.

In the direction into Debrecen, traffic on the main road will be diverted from Nyírbátor Street to Kőrösi Csoma Sándor Street to the newly built service road. During this period, stopping and waiting is prohibited on the entire section of the service road.

From the service road you can only enter and exit Nyírbátor, Júlia, Nagy Jenő and Kőrösi Csoma Sándor streets on the right. To this end, two-way traffic will be restored on Nagy Jenő Street.

Lovas Street will remain one-way from Sámsoni Street, and half-lane road closures may be expected on Lovas Street until Puska Street.

Pedestrian traffic is possible between Kőrösi Csoma Sándor Street and Simon István Street on the even side of Sámsoni Road on the newly built sidewalk, while on the odd side between Őrmester Street and Simon István Street on the temporary sidewalk.

Bicycles can still only be driven on the roadway together with motor vehicles. The bus turnaround on Samson Road will be closed to public transport during this period. The contractor will continue to provide access in and out of the properties.
