New Head of Communications appointed at BMW Group Plant Debrecen
From January 2026, Oliver Gschwandtner will continue his work as Head of Communications at BMW Group Plant Debrecen. Réka Jenei will henceforth serve as Head of Government Relations for BMW Group in Hungary, the company announced.
Oliver Gschwandtner, who has worked at BMW for nearly 30 years, brings extensive communications expertise. In his most recent position, he carried out team leadership and spokesperson duties at the company’s Irlbach‑Straßkirchen site in Bavaria, which specializes in assembling high‑voltage batteries. In his new role, he will be responsible for all communications and PR activities at the Debrecen facility.
“I am excited to discover Debrecen and its rich culture, while gaining new experiences at the iFACTORY and working together with the Hungarian team,” said the expert, who originally comes from Austria.
The BMW Group Plant Debrecen plays a key role in the company’s transition to electric mobility, as it is the first facility fully dedicated to producing electric vehicles. It will also be the site of the first Neue Klasse model, the BMW iX3. Oliver Gschwandtner is eager to contribute to this innovative and sustainable chapter in Debrecen.
