Programs this week in Debrecen

The Csokonai National Theatre, the Vojtina Puppet Theatre also welcome their young and old audiences to their performances, yoUDay is coming but there are also numerous other events awaiting you. Take a look at some of the upcoming events in Debrecen!

From Monday, 15 September

  • Works of the III. Debrecen Synagogue Gallery artist colony in a shared exhibition space
    • The artist colony’s exhibition opens on September 15 at the Pásti Street Synagogue Gallery, and is expected to be on display until November 15.

  • Fire and Light – Concert by the Kodály Philharmonic Orchestra from 7.00 p.m.
    • Experience the magic of Fire and Light on September 16 in Debrecen, featuring Mozart, Paganini, and Beethoven performed by the Kodály Philharmonic Orchestra.

  • Play “Portugal”with English Subtitles  at the Csokonai Theatre
    • In Hungarian writer, Zoltán Egressy’s popular play, Portugal, the characters of Lajos, Masni, Csipesz, Jucika, Satan, Retek, and the priest come to life in a pub in Irgács. These characters symbolize the world’s helplessness and unfulfilled desires, as they exist as unconscious puppets. When a young intellectual arrives, he faces a daunting task, determining his ability to handle it.
