Public Lighting Developments Continue Across Debrecen
Nineteen new public lighting brackets and luminaires will be installed in Ezerjó Street in Debrecen-Józsa on 27–28 July 2026. Work will then continue in other streets across Debrecen, as well as in the Bánk district.
During Phase I of the public lighting network development in the district, a new public lighting network extending approximately 750 metres was established along Vállalkozók Road, where 20 new columns and luminaires were installed.
As part of Phase II of the public lighting development programme in Debrecen-Józsa, 19 new public lighting brackets and luminaires will be installed in Ezerjó Street on 27–28 July 2026. This will be followed by the installation of seven new public lighting brackets and luminaires on existing columns in Laura Street and Ligetszépe Street on 29 July; 14 in Sándor Street, József Street and Kisállomás Street on 30–31 July; and a further 16 in the Debrecen-Bánk district on 3–4 August.
Funded entirely by the municipality, the public lighting improvements at the above locations are expected to enhance road safety along the affected sections.
Motorists and pedestrians are asked to exercise increased caution while travelling through these areas during the course of the works.
