Renovation of Main Road 33 Continues in Debrecen with Upgrade to Another Section of Füredi Road

As planned, renovation works on Main Road 33 are continuing within the built-up area of Debrecen, with the next phase now underway on Füredi Road.

The latest stage of the project began on Friday, 17 July 2026, and covers a section of approximately 150 metres extending from 76 Füredi Road towards Balmazújvárosi Road as far as 102 Füredi Road. This stretch of carriageway will receive a completely new road surface across its full width.

The works are being carried out in a way that allows traffic to continue flowing throughout the project while keeping disruption to a minimum, with the entire road renovation scheme expected to be completed by early September 2026.

The Municipality of Debrecen asks motorists travelling through the affected section to pay close attention to the temporary traffic management measures and road signs in place during the works. Residents and road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while the project is being carried out.
