Schaeffler Academy’s open day was a great success
The Schaeffler Academy’s open day attracted great interest: on Saturday, 120 students preparing to choose a career visited the company’s modern, well‑equipped training workshops, where they could experience firsthand the dual vocational training program that has been one of the key elements of Schaeffler’s professional talent development for nearly two decades.
The Schaeffler Academy was launched 17 years ago to provide students with the opportunity to learn their chosen profession in a modern environment. Currently, approximately 130 young people are enrolled in Schaeffler’s dual training program.
At the open day, students encountered a range of cutting‑edge technologies, including robotic arms and CNC machines.
“I’ve been here at Schaeffler for three years in dual training, studying to become a mechatronics technician, and I’m most interested in industrial automation within the field,” said Rajmund Barnabás Tóth.
Visitors not only toured the workshops but also gained a comprehensive picture of the everyday life and practical aspects of dual vocational training. The training offer is flexibly adapted each year in line with the company’s development directions.
“It is very important for us to show the factory, the workshops, and also the working environment that students will later enter. This way, everyone can make a well‑founded decision about where they want to continue their studies and take part in dual training,” emphasized Péter Szabó, Director of the Schaeffler Debrecen Campus.
In addition to workshop visits, presentations helped participants learn in detail about the dual vocational training program at Schaeffler Academy and its long‑term opportunities.
