Schaeffler Wins Prestigious General Motors Award for Sixth Time

A leading motion technology company with presence in Debrecen, Schaeffler has received General Motors’ Supplier of the Year Award in recognition of its reliable supplier performance in supporting GM’s continued growth, innovation ambitions and market success. This marks the sixth time Schaeffler has received the prestigious distinction from General Motors. This year’s award recognises the company’s significant contribution to key engine technology developments, including valve train systems, the company announced.

The rigorous selection process recognises suppliers whose achievements reflect GM’s core values and support the company’s strategic business objectives, including outstanding performance in key areas such as innovation, safety, execution, resilience and customer support. “This prestigious award is an important affirmation of our commitment to quality and outstanding performance,” said Klaus Rosenfeld, Chief Executive Officer of Schaeffler AG. “It reflects our strong, trust-based relationship with General Motors and our shared dedication to innovation and operational excellence. We are proud to contribute to GM’s success through technologies that play a defining role in shaping the future of mobility.”

“This recognition is testament to the close collaboration between Schaeffler and GM, as well as to the passion with which our employees strive for excellence every day,” emphasised Jon Jameson, Global Vice President for Key Account Management at Schaeffler.

This year, General Motors presented its Supplier of the Year Award to 103 suppliers from 14 countries. “The Supplier of the Year awards ceremony is one of our company’s most significant events, shining a spotlight on the partnerships that are essential to the vehicles we build. The performance of our suppliers plays a critical role throughout the entire product development process, enabling us to deliver world-class vehicles to our customers. When partners like Schaeffler work with us to develop new technologies and ensure their flawless implementation, we advance more rapidly, compete more effectively and create greater value across the entire supply chain,” said Shilpan Amin, Global Vice President of Purchasing and Supply Chain at General Motors.
