The Debrecen-Ondód junction on Highway M35 towards the border will be closed

According to the Hungarian Concession Infrastructure Development Company (Magyar Koncessziós Infrastruktúra Fejlesztő Zrt.), the Debrecen – Ondód junction on the M35 side, heading towards the border, will be closed between August 4 and 6 due to renovation works.

During the closure, the following diversion routes can be used, which are also indicated by yellow signs:

  • – From Budapest towards Debrecen Ipari Park (off-ramp direction): On Highway M35 heading towards the national border, continue to the next junction (Debrecen-Dél Szolnok), then turn off Main Road No. 4 onto Határ Road to reach Kishegyesi Road.
  • – From Kishegyesi Road towards Berettyóújalu (on-ramp direction): Highway M35 can be reached from the Debrecen – Dél Szolnok junction by turning from Kishegyesi Road to Határ Road and then continuing on Main Road No. 4.

According to the plans, the closure is expected to be in effect until August 6. The dates of closures and work may change depending on weather conditions, logistical arrangements, and other external factors.

Drivers can find more information about closures on Útinform, the website of the Hungarian Concession Infrastructure Development Company and on their Facebook page.
