The Debrecen Vocational Training Centre is starting the academic year with more than 11,000 students.
The schools of the Debrecen Vocational Training Center (DSZC) will be filled with students again in September. More than eleven thousand students will begin their studies in the institutional system, and in addition to full-time education, vocational training is also available to adults.
At the press conference to kick off the school year, the leaders of the DSZC emphasized that the renewed vocational training system helped stabilize the number of students and increase the quality of training.
“One of the novelties and strengths of this new system is that it not only provides opportunities for full-time school education but also provides flexible training and qualifications for adults,” pointed out Zsolt Tirpák, Chancellor of the Debrecen Vocational Training Center.
The leaders of the Debrecen Vocational Training Center also presented the strategic plans for the academic year starting in September. This year, they are paying great attention to, among other things, career orientation and career support, further training of teachers, and the involvement of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The DSZC is also preparing for the new academic year with a comprehensive competition preparation strategy and a green program, in whose institutions almost eleven thousand five hundred students will begin their studies on September 1.
“Our prospects are good; we have stabilized the numbers that we saw as the economy’s need, but we also know where we still need to improve. The quality of vocational education is increasing day by day,” underlined Sándor Szilágyi, Director General of the Debrecen Vocational Training Center.
The Debrecen Vocational Training Center has nineteen branches, of which mechanical engineering and tourism are currently the most popular.
