The development of the Erzsébet Street – Szoboszlói Street – Külsővásártér junction is progressing at a good pace

On Nyugati Street, from Friday, 13 June, 2025, Debreceni Waterworks PLC will be carrying out stormwater sewer repairs, during which the two currently used traffic lanes will have to be opened up crosswise. The temporary traffic order is expected to be in effect until Wednesday, 18 June, 2025.

A temporary traffic order will be introduced during the works: straight-ahead traffic is ensured in the outer traffic lane, while left turns will be possible from the inner lane on a short section of the lane.

In addition to the reconstruction works on the stormwater network, the contractor developing the junction will carry out curb replacement, milling of the pavement, and construction work on the bonding layer in the closed area.

The temporary traffic order is expected to be in effect until Wednesday, 18 June, 2025. After this, the temporary traffic order that was in effect during the construction will be restored on the affected section.

Following the work, expectedly from Wednesday noon, the separate left-turn and straight-through traffic lanes on Nyugati Street will be restored. Traffic will be possible according to the temporary pavement markings that will be painted, depending on the weather conditions, using the newly prepared binder layer.

We ask drivers to drive according to the temporary traffic order signs that will be introduced, and to avoid congestion, we recommend that they use diversion routes if possible!
