The sewer covers on Szoboszlói Road need to be adjusted
The sewer covers on the newly paved section of Szoboszlói Road need to be adjusted.
The Municipality of Debrecen has received several reports from residents that sewer covers are deeper than the roadway in some places. Mayor László Papp said that they expect impeccable work from the contractor during the renovation of this junction, so the defects must be corrected by the technical handover.
A few weeks ago, the central lane of Külsővásártér and the section of road from Szoboszlói Road towards the Main Railway Station (Nagyállomás) were completed.
The reconstruction of the intersection is progressing well, but on the newly paved section of Szoboszlói Road, the cover surface are deeper than the road surface in several places, which has been reported to the Municipality by several residents. The city administration and the Ministry of Construction and Transport, which is coordinating the investment, expect the contractor to do an impeccable job. “The city, travelers, and motorists alike expect that if such a project, which causes traffic difficulties, is underway, the end result should be one that leaves nothing to be desired,” Mayor László Papp said.
By mid-December, the contractor will complete the public utility construction, as well as install public lighting and rainwater drainage. The drainage systems for the two outer lanes have already been completed at Külsővásártér, and the concreting of the bus stops has also been finished. According to the plans, the wearing course will also be laid soon. Any defects in the cover surfaces will also be repaired before technical handover. Weather permitting, the contractor may be able to complete the adjustment of the cover surfaces as early as December this year, but the work will definitely be completed by spring at the latest.
