The Napló job fair showcased hundreds of open positions
Interested parties could find out about job opportunities in the county from 30 exhibitors at the Kölcsey Center at the Hajdú-Bihar Napló job fair. The event, which has a long history, has been providing direct contact between employers and job seekers in the region for 13 years.
Automotive industry, logistics jobs, and law enforcement services are just a few examples of the approximately 500 career opportunities that this year’s Napló job fair offered to attendees. At the event, job seekers could personally ask their questions to representatives of the exhibiting companies, thus gaining a direct impression of the job opportunities in the region and the expectations of employers. The largest job fair in the county addressed all age groups, regardless of field of expertise and education. Among the exhibitors was the Debrecen Vocational Training Center (DSZC), which not only helps employees full-time but also with adult training programs. More than 80 professions and more than 100 vocational qualifications are available in the 11 institutions of the DSZC.
“Adult training is a training that provides the opportunity to start over and strengthen your career, and we are the ones who also represent labor market training in Hajdú-Bihar County,” Chancellor Zsolt Tirpák emphasized.
The main goal of the event remains the same from year to year: to create direct contact between employers and job seekers.
“The employment sector is changing; we have transformed it from a welfare-based society to an employment-based one in the past 15 years. We can say that today anyone who has a job can plan, start a family, and pursue useful activities in the future,” President of the Hajdú-Bihar County Government Zoltán Pajna said.
“Debrecen’s economy has been developing spectacularly for years: more and more companies are settling in the city, and in the past ten years about 21 thousand new jobs have been created. In Debrecen, nowadays, it is no longer the employees who are looking for employers, but in many cases the other way around: companies are trying to reach the right workforce,” Mayor László Papp spoke about this at the job fair. “There is so much supply, so much opportunity in almost every sector of industry and the economy, that those looking for work in Debrecen are really in an easy position now. This is clearly shown by the numbers, as well as the unemployment data. The number of people looking for permanent work here in Debrecen and in the region has decreased to a fraction of what it was 10 years ago,” he explained.
The Hajdú-Bihar Napló Job Fair was held for the 13th time. This year, interested parties could find out about job opportunities in the county from 30 exhibitors.
