The Petőfi Square ramp of the Homokkert overpass reopens
The expansion joint was replaced on the bridge over the railway, so the Petőfi Square ramp was closed to road traffic for a month.
During this time, it was possible to drive up from Main Road 4 to Main Road 47 via the western Homokkert ramp. This meant that drivers had to continue past Petőfi Square and turn left onto the overpass at the first temporary junction.
All of this also made it difficult to drive down from the Homokkert overpass during the morning rush hour. During the work, the expansion joint at the junction of the Petőfi Square ramp and the bridge was replaced with a more modern, higher load-bearing structure.
During the construction, which lasted until the end of August, work was also carried out on weekends, and the obstacle has now been removed.
DKV Zrt reported that the works have been completed at the Petőfi Square ramp of the Homokkert Overpass, and buses 14, 14Y, 18, 18Y, 30, 30A, 30H, 44, 47, 47Y, 48, 49, 60, 61, and Airport 1 running towards Tégláskert Street/Széna Square/Bánk/Borzán Gáspár Street/Ozmán Street/Pac/Déli Ipari Park/Airport Debrecen will operate on their original routes again from the start of operations on Friday.
