This is how DKV services will operate during the holiday period

Due to the Christmas holidays and the school winter break, between December 22, 2025, and January 4, 2026, the timetable of DKV Zrt. buses, trolleybuses, and trams will be as follows, the company announced.

DECEMBER 22, 2025, MONDAY  

Buses, trolleybuses, and trams operate according to school holiday weekday schedules.

DECEMBER 23, 2025, TUESDAY  

Buses, trolleybuses, and trams operate according to school holiday weekday schedules.

DECEMBER 24, 2025, WEDNESDAY  

From the start of service until 4:00 p.m., buses, trolleybuses, and trams operate according to Saturday schedules. Between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., only Tram Lines 1 and 2, Trolleybus Lines 3, 3A, 5, and 5A, and Bus Lines 25, 46, 46Y, 60, 60H, and 125 will operate.

DECEMBER 29–31 (Mon–Wed):  

School holiday weekday schedule.

On Dec 31 (Wed), the Auchan shuttle departs:

• From the Grand Station: 8:40 a.m., 9:40 a.m., 12:40 p.m., 2:40 p.m.
• From the Auchan store: 9:05 a.m., 10:05 a.m., 1:05 p.m., 3:05 p.m., 4:15 p.m.

NEW YEAR’S EVE NIGHT TRANSPORT:

• Night trams: 

On December 31, the Happy New Year Debrecen 2026 event will be held at Kossuth Square. During the program, from 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, until Wednesday, January 1, 2026, Tram Lines 1 and 2 will operate continuously in two sections:

• Grand Station – City Hall – Grand Station
• Kálvin Square – University/Doberdó Street – Kálvin Square

Trams 1 and 2 will run every 12 minutes until 2:30 a.m. If the event ends earlier than planned, tram 2 will depart from the Grand Station at 12:30 a.m., and tram 1 will depart at 12:40 a.m.

• If the event ends earlier, Tram 2 departs Grand Station at 00:30 a.m., and Tram 1 at 00:40 a.m.
• Night buses:

Night buses: 

From the Kistemplom stop:

• Bus 18Y departs at 12:25 a.m. towards Széna Square.
• Bus 47Y departs at 12:20 a.m. towards Tégláskert Street.

From the Csokonai Theatre (towards Segner Square) stop:

At 12:20 a.m., a night bus departs towards the Józsa districts via the following route:

• Csokonai Theatre – Széchenyi Street – Nyugati Street – Pesti Street – Böszörményi Road – Main Road 35 – Szentgyörgyfalvi Road – Sillye Gábor Street – Felsőjózsa Street – Gönczy Pál Street – Bocskai István Road – Tokaji Street – Templom Street – Alsójózsai Street.

From the Debreceni Ítélőtábla stop:

• Trolleybus 3A departs at 12:20 a.m. towards Kassai Road.
• Bus 125 departs at 12:25 a.m. towards Veres Péter Street.

January 1, 2026 (Thursday):  

Buses, trolleybuses, and trams operate according to Sunday/holiday schedules. The Auchan shuttle does not operate on this day.

January 2–3, 2026 (Friday–Saturday):  

Buses, trolleybuses, and trams operate according to Saturday schedules.

January 4, 2026 (Sunday):  

Buses, trolleybuses, and trams operate according to Sunday/holiday schedules.
