Traffic restrictions are expected on the overpass near the railway station in Debrecen

In Debrecen, on the urban section of Main Road 47, an expansion joint replacement will be carried out between 28 July and 29 August 2025 on the Homokkerti railway bridge near the railway station.

During the works, at the connection of the Petőfi Square on-ramp and the bridge, the existing expansion joint structure will be replaced by a more modern, higher-capacity structure.

During this time, access from Main Road 4 to Main Road 47 will be provided via the Homokkerti western on-ramp.

In order to maintain continuous traffic, the specialists will modify the programming of the affected traffic lights. The company asks drivers to adhere to the speed limit and be extra cautious in the area around the road section affected by the traffic restrictions and closures.

Magyar Közút Nonprofit Zrt. asks for the patience and understanding of motorists and encourages drivers to check the current traffic situation related to the restrictions at the company’s Útinform service or on the website www.utinform.hu before setting off. It is also worth using a navigation or shared car application to plan the optimal route.
