Tram Services to Change Again in Debrecen as Track Renovation Enters Next Phase
Between 8 and 12 July, passengers will face further changes to tram services as work continues in Kossuth Square and rail replacement begins in Péterfia Street, as announced by DKV.
During the works, Tram 1 will be suspended along its entire route. Passengers will instead be served by 1V replacement buses, which will operate between the Main Railway Station and the Great Forest, travelling via Piac Street, Kossuth Street, Burgundia Street, Rákóczi Street and Péterfia Street, while also calling at several temporary stops.
Tram 2 will continue to operate between Kálvin Square and Doberdó Street throughout the construction period. The section between Kálvin Square and the Main Railway Station will be covered by the 1V replacement bus service, allowing passengers to transfer between the two services.
DKV reminds passengers that single tickets cover the transfer between services but must be validated on each vehicle.
Because of the temporary traffic restrictions and revised transport arrangements, passengers travelling between the city centre and the Great Forest are advised to allow extra time for their journeys.
