Water Shortage Warning Issued for Several Streets

According to information released on March 14 by Debreceni Vízmű Zrt., fire hydrant pipeline replacement works will be carried out in Debrecen in front of 15 Mata János Street on Tuesday, 17 March between 08:00 and 12:00.

During the works, temporary water shortages and pressure fluctuations may occur in the following streets:

1–13 Gáborjáni Szabó Kálmán Street
15–19 Gáborjáni Szabó Kálmán Street
15–19 Mata János Street

Firefighting water will not be available during the period of the works. As stated in the notice, once the work has been completed the drinking water may temporarily become cloudy. However, its consumption does not pose a health risk, though it is advisable to allow the water to settle before use. The cloudy water will leave the system after the works are completed by briefly opening the garden tap.
