Water Shutoff Planned Next Tuesday in Five Debrecen Streets

According to Thursday’s announcement by Debrecen Waterworks, maintenance works will be carried out at the Mester Street and Vénkert booster stations on Tuesday, February 17, between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., in order to ensure continued service safety.

The water outage caused by the works will affect the high-pressure network section located after the booster stations, in the area bounded by Mester Street, Böszörményi Road, Füredi Road, Dózsa György Street, and Csemete Street.

Firefighting water will remain available during the works. After completion, tap water may temporarily become cloudy; however, its consumption does not pose a health risk, though it is advisable to let it settle. The company notes that the cloudy water can be flushed out of the system after the works are finished by briefly opening an outdoor tap.
