Zoo Debrecen Adopts Potted Christmas Trees

The initiative is aimed at people who like to choose a live Christmas tree for the holidays.

Zoo Debrecen has announced an environmentally conscious program: after the holidays, they will “adopt” potted Christmas trees with root balls. The initiative is for those who enjoy having a live tree at Christmas but don’t know where to plant it once the holidays are over, the zoo explained on its social media page.

The post notes that potted Christmas trees can be dropped off between December 27 and January 31, and the zoo’s staff will plant them within the park grounds, contributing to the greening of the environment.
