Temporary Traffic Restrictions due to Asphalt Works at the Junction of Füredi Road and Szabó Lőrinc Street

Asphalting works will take place on Füredi Road and Szabó Lőrinc Street in Debrecen from 08:00 on 12 March 2026 (Thursday) until 16:00 on 14 March 2026 (Saturday). The asphalting will be carried out on the section between the new bus bay in front of the barracks and the Meteor Gyros food bar. During the works, pedestrian traffic will not be possible on this section.

In the next phase of the reconstruction works at the junction of Main Road No. 33 – Füredi Road – Csigekert Street – Szabó Lőrinc Street, asphalting works will be carried out on Füredi Road and Szabó Lőrinc Street.

According to information provided by the contractor, the works will take place from 08:00 on 12 March 2026 (Thursday) until 16:00 on 14 March 2026 (Saturday). The asphalting will be carried out on the section between the new bus bay in front of the barracks and the Meteor Gyros food bar. During the works, pedestrian traffic will not be possible on this section, as it cannot be safely maintained alongside the large-scale mechanical asphalting operations.

During the closure, it will not be possible to cross the junction between the Kertváros district and Csigekert Street – in either direction – either on foot or by bicycle. It is important to note, however, that the secondary school will continue to remain accessible from the direction of the city centre.

From Kertváros, pedestrians and cyclists can safely take a diversion towards József Attila Street and the temporary connecting road established in the direction of Frigyes Karinthy Street.

The municipality kindly asks for the patience and increased attention of road users during the affected three-day period, and requests that those passing through the area follow the temporary traffic signs that have been put in place.
