National Employers’ Organisation Launches Regional Discussions in Debrecen
The National Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers (MGYOSZ) plans to establish regional units, beginning in eastern Hungary and specifically in Debrecen, as discussed at the employers’ advocacy organisation’s business meeting on Monday.
The aim of the National Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers is to make dialogue within the region a regular occurrence. They believe that, thanks to the city’s development in recent years, Debrecen now has a significant impact on the Hungarian economy as a whole. Representatives of government offices, authorities and companies attended the professional event in order to establish effective dialogue regarding the current challenges facing the economy.
The central topic of the meeting was the integration of small and medium-sized enterprises into global value chains, although issues relating to increasing competitiveness and employment policy were also discussed.
“What concerns MGYOSZ most as an organisation are sustainability, the competitiveness of the Hungarian economy, current employment policy issues, the expansion of Hungarian companies in Central and Eastern Europe, the further development of exports, and strengthening supplier connections between domestic companies and multinational corporations,” said Sándor Söpkéz, the organisation’s regional representative, during the meeting.
