Perényi Pál Speedway StadiumOn 20 June Debrecen’s Perényi Pál Speedway Stadium will host the FIM Europe U19 Speedway Championship Semi-Final. It is no exaggeration to say that the most eagerly anticipated international event of the season will bring the year’s most exciting and intriguing contest to Gázvezeték Street.
Sixteen fearless young speedway riders from ten countries will be waiting for the starting tape to rise as they battle for one of the top eight places that will secure qualification for the European Championship Final. The continental final will be held in Krško, Slovenia, on 5 September.
The starting list features some of the most promising young stars from speedway powerhouses including Poland, Denmark, Sweden, United Kingdom and Germany, several of them mentored by former world champions and regularly seen in professional senior leagues.
Representing Hungary will be the home crowd’s leading favourite, Zoltán Lovas (#6) from Debrecen. The 17-year-old hope of Hungarian speedway racing, who now competes as a SCHAEFFLER brand ambassador, has developed into one of the leading contenders for Saturday’s event.

Tickets for the event are still available both online in advance and at the venue.
Debrecen City Card and Junior Debrecen City Card holders are entitled to a discount of HUF 1,000 when purchasing tickets online.
