Leak Incident at CATL Debrecen: Spill Contained, No Injuries Reported
As first reported on social media on Thursday, approximately one litre of diethyl carbonate leaked from a storage container during transfer near production line four at CATL Debrecen at 10:30 a.m. on 25 June, according to the company’s statement.
The company said that its specialists dealt with the incident within five minutes in accordance with its Emergency Response Plan and no personal injuries occurred. Following the detection of the leak, employees on site immediately alerted CATL Debrecen’s emergency response unit and on-site fire brigade, and promptly evacuated all personnel from the affected area.
