The 10th yoUDay is Coming Up

The University of Debrecen’s opening party promises to be a particularly sophisticated, wide-ranging musical experience.

yoUDay will take place on Wednesday, September 16, starting at 6:30 p.m. at Nagyerdei Stadium.

The first posters appeared at the Campus Festival, revealing who will be taking the stage at this year’s massive back-to-school event at Nagyerdei Stadium.

This year, alongside Charlie, Beton.Hofi, BSW, Parno Graszt, and Bogi Nagy will also be performing on the massive stage at Nagyerdei Stadium.

This year, more than 8,000 first-year students were admitted to the University of Debrecen through the general admissions process, and this number may soon exceed 12,000. Based on past experience, first-year students are eager to participate in this popular, large-scale event—which is unique in the country—so given the record-breaking admission figures, more people than ever before are expected to visit the stadium.

Gergő Török, the main organizer of yoUDay, told hirek.unideb.hu: The upcoming event will once again be packed with new features and spectacular show elements; the performers were selected accordingly to ensure that the Nagyerdő stadium show—which has been a huge success every time it’s been held—provides excellent entertainment for all university students.

For this anniversary year, the ticket purchasing system has been made easier to use by providing a separate interface for ticket redemption, which requires users to log in.

For this anniversary year, the ticket purchasing system has become easier to use, as ticket redemption now has its own dedicated interface—though logging in is required to access it.

A special highlight was the wheel-of-fortune ticket giveaway held at the recently concluded Campus Festival, where participants could win tickets to the yoUDay backstage area, as well as yoUDay and university merchandise, admission tickets, and VIP tickets. The list of winners will be available soon on the event’s Facebook page.

For the first time this year, the organizers, in collaboration with DEHÖK, set up a yoUDay Lounge—a visitor zone—on campus. They will continue this initiative next year, and the wheel of fortune and the yoUDay zone will also be available to newly admitted students at orientation camp.
