Water Shutoff Expected in Several Streets of Debrecen

Staff from Debreceni Vízmű Zrt. will be carrying out trunk water main reconstruction works on Szigligeti Street in Debrecen between 8am and 2pm on 28 August. The following areas will be affected by the water outage during the works:

• 3–21 Szigligeti Street
• 4–36 Szigligeti Street
• 50–54 Kassai Road

No water will be available for firefighting purposes during the works. Firefighting water will continue to be available in areas of the city not affected by the works.

Following completion of the works, drinking water may become cloudy. This does not pose a health risk, but it is advisable to allow the water to settle. Any cloudy water can be cleared from the system by briefly running an outside tap after the works have been completed.
