The Large-Scale Road Reconstruction Of Tóth Árpád Street Has Begun
On 1st of July 2024, the large-scale road reconstruction of Tóth Árpád Street started with preparatory works and a complete road closure, Aurélia Ibolya Orosz, local government representative, announced at a press conference.
She said taht the reconstruction of Tóth Árpád street is being carried out at the request of the residents in the framework of the Debrecen 2030 programme. During the project, the worn asphalt will be removed and a new asphalt layer will be laid. In parallel, the contractor will also carry out the levelling of the existing utilities, the replacement of the local bonding layer if necessary, and the repair of the existing kerb.
The project is 140 metres long and will cost a gross of HUF 24 million.
The works are expected to be completed by the end of July 2024, depending on weather conditions, however, the contractor will do its utmost to complete the works as soon as possible.
The representative asked drivers not to drive out of habit, but to drive with extra caution in accordance with the temporary pavement markings.
