This year, Debrecen Zoo is once again bringing back its Evening Walks programme that has become a favorite in recent years!
These exclusive, guided evening tours offer a rare opportunity to catch a glimpse into the mysterious nighttime lives of the zoo’s residents, hidden from view during the day. Accompanied by zoo educators and animal keepers, visitors can learn firsthand how iconic species like the Humboldt penguins, Nile hippos, and reticulated giraffes wind down or just begin to wake up as night falls.
During the programme, guests can discover the garden’s countless secrets under the spell of a summer evening, guided by expert commentary. They will get up close and personal with the most unique animals, including this year’s baby stars, such as Gedeon, the hand-raised ring-tailed lemur and of course, Boborján, the capuchin monkey, will also be there to greet them.
Even returning guests will discover something new: witness the nocturnal behavior of the zoo’s top predators, and explore the unique plant and animal life of the Palm House, which reveals its true magic only after sunset.
To make the evening even more memorable, visitors can relax at the Samburu Panorama Terrace, where delicious bites and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments await them.
Tickets are available exclusively online at www.ticketbase.eu/zoodebrecen for HUF 9,900.
Please note that tickets cannot be purchased on-site, so make sure to book in advance.
The guided walk starts at 6:30 p.m. from the zoo entrance.
Let the zoo’s nighttime wonders enchant you, the zoo is looking forward to welcoming you for an unforgettable summer evening!
