MODEM presents a unique selection from the collecting practices of rural museums

With a guided tour by writer Norbert Vass, visitors can see the exhibition “Untold Stories at MODEM” on July 19, from 5.00 p.m.

The exhibition aims to present, through the fine art collections of regional museums, the values that institutions outside Budapest have accumulated between 1989 and 2024. The selection, which opens in the MODEM’s 2nd floor exhibition space, attempts to create an image for professionals and the wider public of how the collecting practices of individual regional museums have evolved in the decades following the change of regime.

You can find out more about the guided tour on the programme’s Facebook page.
