PPG Trilak Kft. donates 600 liters of paint to renovate schools and kindergartens in Debrecen
Thanks to a community collaboration, three educational institutions in Debrecen will be refreshed with a generous donation from PPG Trilak Kft., which provided 600 liters of paint.
Among the beneficiaries is Csapókert Primary School, where classrooms will receive a fresh coat of color in time for the September school start.
Currently, the classrooms at Csapókert Primary School stand empty, but come early September, they’ll once again be filled with the sounds of children. The summer break is the ideal time to undertake essential maintenance work. Right now, professionals are performing cleaning and painting.
“We’re operating at full capacity. The school can accommodate 400 students, and we have 396 enrolled, so it’s crucial that everything functions perfectly,” Zsolt Nagy, principal of Csapókert Primary School, emphasized.
The professionals are working in coordination, which is necessary since every room in the school is receiving a fresh coat of paint. Nearly 300 liters of the donated paint will be used here.
“We’re fortunate in this district to have received a 600-liter donation of paint from PPG Trilak Kft. With this large amount, we’re able to refresh Csapókert Primary School, the Kinizsi Street Primary School, and the Angyalkert Kindergarten on Bányai Júlia Street,” Edina Szilágyi, local representative for Csapókert, said.
Since January, five staff members from the Debrecen District Education Center have been working to renovate classrooms and hallways in all institutions under their management.
“This summer has been far from quiet. Our painting team completed a clean paint job on nearly 26,000 square meters of wall surface. This affected all our institutions. The team worked in 16 schools, while in others, the painting was done by in-house staff,” László Türk, director of the Debrecen District Education Center, pointed out.
Plans are also underway for a major renovation of Csapókert Primary School, as the city has submitted a European Union grant application to modernize the institution.
